Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy

hiphoprisy_thumbnail The band supported Billy Bragg on an extensive American tour and brought an infectious energy to the tour with their industrial hip-hop. When I was asked to join them for a tour supporting U2 ‘s Zoo TV tour in the states I jumped at the chance and found myself setting up chainsaws and wheel hubs and scaffolding runways as well as more conventional instruments. It was my first real stadium tour and it was interesting and inspiring to be a part of a technically groundbreaking and spectacular tour. The band split but I continued to work as European Tour Manager with Michael Franti and his new band Spearhead.
